Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has died. The 86 year passed away after spending the last 8 years in a coma after he had a stroke.
Somehow I don’t think that a lot of the Middle East will be mourning his death tonight.
Everybody knows that when somebody who has been in office and has made a massive impact in the world, the whole of the Leadership of every major power begins to gush about them. So after reading the article on the BBC I was happily surprised to read somebody giving the truth and their opinion on a person.
Palestinian leaders have told the world what it is like for the Palestinians in the world under him. It’s refreshing for somebody not to brown nose another person just because that person is dead.
Granted they’re is the usual out pouring of love and sympathy from the Western Powers, the main one being Israel’s biggest ally. Yup America. Obama has made it clear that America sends out it’s sympathy to Israel. Well it’s not that surprising really.
I really hope that in the future, Sharon’s legacy of discrimination is brought to light and the people of Palestine will be seen as freedom fighters. This is only fair for the world. I won’t mourn his death.
